A Journey of Healing and Growth
Before the 2023 Camp Meeting, I struggled with low self-esteem, anger, and challenges at home. I was at a crossroads, overwhelmed by the pressure to fit in and compare myself to others. Though I knew God was the solution, I didn’t know how to connect with Him for healing.
When I heard about the camp and its theme, Come Rest A While, I knew I had to go. Exhausted and desperate for rest, I hoped for a change. From the first session, I felt a shift. The truth shared in each presentation began to heal my mind and set me free.
A key turning point came during a career panel discussion, where I gained clarity on my path. This brought a deep sense of peace and strengthened my role in my family. The sessions on Sabbath keeping and dress and health reform gave me practical steps to align with God’s Word.
Most surprising was the boldness I gained—courage to make changes, stand firm in my faith, and share my beliefs confidently. I finally let go of the burden of trying to meet others’ expectations.
This camp was more than a retreat—it changed my life.

Journey of Faith
In Sierra Leone, I made a firm decision for God—not to write exams or work on the Sabbath, even though it meant missing my school-leaving exam. It was tough, but I trusted Him. Later, I started a business that thrived, but I felt a strong call to be a medical missionary.
By faith, I sold everything and moved to Nigeria, even when people thought I was crazy. On the TAWASV Telegram platform, I found messages and people that strengthened my faith and prepared me for this journey. At Elim’s Land Medical Missionary School, I gained practical skills, and in addition the Bible studies on the TAWASV platform transformed my character, helping me overcome anger and unforgiveness.
I heard about the camp on the telegram platform. All the while I had been looking forward to meeting these people that had so impacted my faith.
At the TAWASV 2023 camp meeting, I found fellowship and clarity on long-standing Bible questions. Meeting people with a missionary spirit strengthened my resolve to serve God fully.
Now back in Sierra Leone, I see the transformation in my life. I’m bolder, more grounded in truth, and ready to make more impact for God

Virtual Blessings
I had been eagerly looking forward to attending the TAWASV 2023 Camp Meeting physically. Unfortunately, I couldn’t make it, so I joined online. It took a lot of determination to stay focused, as being at home came with many distractions. I informed people in advance and minimized interruptions as much as possible.
Despite the challenges, I participated in most of the live-streamed programs on Telegram, and they were a tremendous blessing. Two areas of my life that transformed were my diet and relationships.
I had recently become a vegetarian, but I struggled with what to eat and felt weak and malnourished. Through the health discussions, I learned simple, practical principles which improved my health —I became stronger, more active, and more helpful at home.
The sessions on social reform were equally life-changing. I redefined my interactions with both same-sex and opposite-sex peers. My classmates noticed the change, and I gained more respect from them. I lost some friends and gained more meaningful friendships.
These small changes have had a huge impact on my spiritual growth. I’ve grown so much this past year, and my love for fellowship has increased.
This year, I’m excited to attend physically and experience the full blessings—meeting people, sharing meals, and participating in programs like morning devotions that we missed online, the whole package.
